On September 30, 2021, EveryMind, in partnership with Montgomery College’s SHaW Center For Success, hosted an online screening of the film Angst, followed by a virtual panel discussion with experts in the field of anxiety management and treatment. The panel was facilitated by Dr. Debra Bright, Associate Dean of Student Success and Rockville Student Affairs for Montgomery College. The panel included EveryMind Mental Health Therapist, Elise Resnick, Montgomery College student Nasser Katende Katamba, and Ned Johnson, co-author of “The Self-Driven Child” and “What Do You Say?”

This documentary is designed to raise awareness around anxiety.  The film includes interviews with kids, teens, educators, experts, parents, and a very special interview with Michael Phelps.  The goal is to help people identify and understand the symptoms of anxiety and encourage those living with it to reach out for help.

Many thanks to all the panelists, the moderator, and all who joined us for the screening and discussion. To learn more about the film please visit the website.
