Great food, silly games and time spent chatting with colleagues – what a great way to spend an afternoon!
On November 20, 2019, our Linkages to Learning Family Empowerment Institute celebrated the graduation of 43 men and women from the program. These dedicated parents completed courses and certifications that will enable them to improve their employment opportunities and their families’ financial wellbeing. Financial stability and economic opportunities alleviate family stress. When family stress decreases, children thrive – they can focus on academic endeavors , build friendships and just be kids. When parents feel empowered to set goals and supported as they strive to achieve them, amazing things can happen. This is what the Family Empowerment Institute is all about.
Because every mind has potential.
EveryMind’s Annual Staff Appreciation Picnic was held again this year at Lake Needwood on June 19, 2019. Events included yoga, hiking, board games, cornhole and a modified version of Ellen’s Game of Games! Food was provided by Cava and we had Captain Cookie and the Milk Man return again this year with dessert! Thanks to our amazing Picnic Coordinating Committee – Jen Grinnell, Kelly Danso, Diana Barney and Kelly Collins, for planning and flawlessly executing such a fun event to say thank you to the wonderfully talented, compassionate, dedicated staff who bring EveryMind’s mission to life every day!

Run for EveryMind
Sunday, September 15, 2019
EveryMind is proud to host Run for EveryMind again this year at Rockville Town Center.
We host this event every year because our mission is to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness and reduce the stigma that is often associated with mental health challenges. Through Run for EveryMind, we strive to educate the community while providing an opportunity to engage in a positive, healthy activity that promotes good mental and physical health.
Your mental wellness is our mission because every mind needs care, attention and support.
EveryMind hopes you will consider being a part of our event as a runner or walker, corporate sponsor, volunteer, or financial contributor – or any combination of these options! We encourage you to form teams with friends, family, colleagues and neighbors and establish social media fundraisers to increase your overall contribution to the event.
